03.19.04 - Do I ever cross your mind, anytime? Do you ever wake up reaching out for me...

Here I am again, blogging away. It's funny how I go through these phases where I don't blog at all, and then it's like a blogging resurgence (is that the right word?). Sometimes I feel the need to blog more than once a day, which is quite unhealthy because my time shouldn't all be spent in front of the computer. Oh wait, even before I blog, and even when I don't blog, I'm still on the computer.

That's pretty sad.

But enough about that. Yesterday, I went to this meeting about working abroad, and I have this really strong desire to either spend a year in Australia or Britain working. Not that this is some kind of specific career move, because (1) I'll be doing things like bartending, waitressing, clerical work, etc...; and (2), I don't know what I want to do as a career yet, so...*shrug*

On a really irrelevant side note, blogging is currently pissing me off because this keyboard sucks ass.

Speaking of ass, a bunch of us were talking about one of the straight guys on "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy", and about how much of a jerk he was. It was pretty amusing, all the names we came up for him included the word ass. You know, assbag, asshat, or just the perennial favourite, "asshole".

Anyway, where was I? Oh right, working abroad. There a few logistical problems to this idea. First, I'm getting orthodontic work done over this year (translation = I got braces) and I'm supposed to get them off next October, then I'm supposed to get surgical work done. Can I speed up the process in any way and take them off before I go? If I do keep them on when I go, how will they be maintained? If I find an orthodontist there, will it cost an arm and a leg? Next, I have the problem that's related to my confusion over what the frick I want to do with my life. Is it really wise to go overseas for a year having no idea what I want to do when I get back?

Speaking of not knowing what the hell to do with my life, I'm still debating as to whether or not I should attempt at a major in theatre. I don't want to be slaving over four years for a degree that I'll never use, and that's disregarding the monetary aspect. I'm thinking that maybe I'll do a double major in Communications and Media or something.

Can someone tell me what kind of job I can get for that??

If I do want to get into theatre, where I do find an agent? How do I get my headshots done??

Argh, now I'm just frustrated, lol. I'm going to go and read Hard Times AGAIN because I didn't finish it, nor did I truly understand what the hell was going on...
